HeartLove Place recognizes the importance of youth becoming spiritually mature, self-sufficient and personally responsible members of the community in which they live. HeartLove Place understands that youth must be given opportunities and activities for advancement within a safe and structured environment to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ, increase academic achievement, develop life skills, nurture personal growth, increase citizenship and civic responsibility, engage in healthy and recreational activities, and practice and promote responsible decision making.
Currently the Youth Programs include:
Preparing to Meet the King for young ladies aged 7-19 with different ages targeted during the year. For enrollment infomation please contact Ms. Peggy Neal 414-372-1550 X.104

The Need
For many families, and particularly youth in poverty, religion, employment and education are no longer a means to get ahead; they are no longer seen as valuable assets to have. Negative culture reflects a trend away from the theory of self-sufficiency through hard-work, obedience and education and towards a life of entitlement, expectation and the fulfillment of worldly pleasures. Role models today reflect values much different than role models from the past. Kids are not shown that staying on the straight and narrow path will lead to attainable success. They see their peers who work hard and have an education still struggling with extreme poverty. A majority of their role models have babies in their teens, work and maybe go to high school, and focus on staying alive rather than getting ahead. Youth today also lack the presence of concerned and caring adults, as well as viable and attainable opportunities for advancement. They have a decreased sense of their place in the community, the church, and lack a life transforming relationship with God. Therefore, in order to permanently stop the cycle of poverty and negative decision-making impacting today’s central city youth, HeartLove Place needs to intervene with a comprehensive youth program that tackles the complexities affecting youth from a multitude of different angles.
The Overall Goals of the Program
(1) Increase youth’s knowledge and understanding of the scriptures and Jesus Christ.
(2) Reduce the propensity for youth to make negative decisions (becoming involved in situations of violent crime, gang activity, substance abuse, and truancy or engaging in sexually irresponsible behavior).
(3) Increase youth’s access to positive opportunities for growth.
The Program Focus Areas
HeartLove Place’s Youth Program will concentrate on five primary focus areas: Academic Achievement, Self-Development, Citizenship, Recreational Activity and Spiritual Maturity.
HOW WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
HeartLove Place seeks to partner with you our community, our family, to formulate a committee of “stakeholders” or partners who will provide input, information, and opinions as we move forward with restructuring the Youth Program to better meet the needs of the community. We are looking for area youth, parents, community residents, business leaders, prominent officials and experts in teen program development to make up our committee.
We are currenlly seeking positive male role models to volunteer with the Dare to be a Daniel youth program. If you or someone you know are willing to commit to working with area youth in this life changing program we would love to hear from you soon!
